Rane Training Limited uses facilitation skills in various aspects of its work and “facilitation” could be used to describe how we work in several of our functions. We facilitate workshops, meetings, discussion groups, and conversations, using methods appropriate to the context, the group and the subject area.
Groups can be facilitated for a variety of purposes with a variety of groups. For example, participant groups could comprise young people, volunteers, mixed groups of professionals and international audiences such as at the 10th World Conference on Restorative Practices. We can use general workshop approaches or specific methods such as Action Learning Sets. We have used workshop methods to support groups of managers embed restorative practice within their services, bringing about culture change.
